The company has already hired 150 additional employees to work on large jets in the $60 million facility. The 250,000-square-foot hangar, one of five hangars the company operates at the airpor t, was completed in December 2017. Once the hangar is fully operational, HAECO expects to hire 400 to 500 aircraft technicians to work in the hangar, according to HAECO Americas CEO Richard Kendall, bringing the total HAECO workforce at the airport to approxi- mately 2,200 people. GAMA PRESENTS 2017 YEAR-END AIRCRAFT NUMBERS Airplane shipments globally increased 2.5 per- cent, from 2,268 units in 2016 to 2,324 units in 2017 from the same reporting companies.
