Czech Airlines Technics Enters New Service Segment Czech Airlines Technics (CSAT), a daughter company of the Czech Aeroholding Group which provides aircraft repair and maintenance services, has entered a new market segment of aircraft consumables sales. The company has decided to take the step based on the demand from airlines, MROs, and brokers. Due to the amount of stored inventory and already established logistics support, the company will be able to respond to customer requirements connected with sales of a wide range of aircraft consumables in a flexible manner. The company already provides the service to Czech Airlines, Travel Services, Enter Air, and the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic. Its inventory, a value exceeding $15 million, is stored in CSAT’s facility at Václav Havel Airport Prague. Collins Named President, Airframe Services at HAECO HAECO Americas has named Bill Collins president of Airframe Services. He will oversee the MRO business segment of HAECO Americas. Collins has more than 30 years’ experience in the aviation industry, leading MRO operations. He worked with the Bristow Group as senior vice president of flight and technical operations and with American Airlines as corporate vice president of technical operations, overseeing three sites and 1,000 aircraft. ST Engineering Appoints New Head for U.S. Headquarters ST Engineering has appointed Tom Vecchiolla president & CEO (Designate) of its U.S. headquarters, VT Systems. He will take over as president and CEO from General (Ret.) John Coburn on Dec. 1, 2018, who will relinquish his CEO position but remain as nonexecutive chairman of VT Systems. Jet Aviation appoints Asia-Pacific Region and Leadership Team Jet Aviation has formed a new region for AsiaPacific (APAC) and appointed Joe Reckling senior vice president regional operations APAC. The company also appointed David Best, current vice president business development, as its new senior vice president Strategic Global Growth (SGG), effective Dec. 1. Best succeeds Johannes Turzer, who is retiring from this role at the end of January 2019. Reckling joins the leadership team, reporting directly to Jet Aviation President, Rob Smith, and will oversee the company’s business activities throughout the region. TAT Technologies Signs a 5-Year Landing Gear MRO Contract TAT Technologies Ltd., through its subsidiary Piedmont Aviation Component Services, has been awarded a five-year landing gear maintenance support contract with a major airline estimated at up to $10 million in revenue, out of which $9 million will be recognized during the first two years of the contract, starting from September 2018.
