36 OCTOBER 2018 AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNOLOGY How to Meet Customer Demands AMT talked to Adrian Little, president and CEO of JETechnology Solutions, about customizing equipment. JETechnology Solutions Inc., based in Orlando, FL, is a comprehensive designer and manufacturer of aircraft maintenance stands and other ground support equipment. JSI specializes in providing customized, best-fit solutions in the area of fall protection and maintenance. AMT: What do customers ask for when inquiring about custom solutions regarding maintenance stands or ground support equipment? Little: Generally, our customers want to ensure that we understand fall protection, ANSI, and OSHA regulations. Understanding the regulations as well as the latest design concepts are where we really add value for our customer. Many customers are surprised to know that we design and manufacture from the same building and can make modifications pretty quickly. Most of our clients also ask for 3-D drawings which we happily provide during the concept generation phase. In addition, some customers ask for our structural analyses as well as proof load reports and we provide all of our customers with an operator’s and maintenance manual. AMT: What is the usual process in meeting requests for custom equipment, finding out about facility, aircraft, and timeframe? Little: First and foremost we try to get an understanding of the aircraft, the maintenance being performed, and the environment in which the activities are taking place. A vast amount of information is generated from this. Because we’ve honed our consulting and planning process, we can typically get a go S.A.F.E Structure Designs, a global leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of solution driven custom ergonomic safety first OSHA compliant aircraft and marine maintenance stands, fall protection platforms, production line platforms, portable field equipment, specialty tooling, hangar equipment and all various types of steel structures.
