TOM ROBINSON RECEIVES TAYLOR AWARD
Tom Robinson received the Charles Taylor Award for 50 years of acci-
dent-free aircraft maintenance recently at an IA renewal Seminar in
Por tland, OR.
He star ted at Aviation High School in 1966, New York City where
he received his Powerplant cer tificate. From there he ser ved in the
U.S. Nav y as an Aviation Machinist Mate. After honorable discharge he
attended Nor throp Institute of Technology and received his Airframe
cer tificate.
He worked in general aviation for two years in Southern California.
Then moving on to work at AiResearch Aviation L A X on the Jetstar con -
version crew. He then joined Garrett's Flight depar tment and enjoyed
several years there. Moving on to the Great Pacific Northwest as a main-
tenance super visor for PacifiCorp Trans Inc. He then went to Las Vegas
as chief of maintenance for Harrah's Entertainment. He returned to the
Nor thwest as a regional sales manager for Penta Aviation Ser vices.
Next he joined Midwest Aviation as a maintenance super visor and
spent several years based in Por tland, Omaha, and Reno. Currently
he is flight depar tment manager and chief of aircraft maintenance
at Barrett Business Ser vices Inc. at Por tland International Airpor t.
