EDITOR'S VIEWPOINT By Ron Donner, Editor 4 AUGUST/SEPTEMBER 2016 AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY RECOGNITION I n July I attended the 2016 Aerospace Media Awards Dinner which was held in London at the home of the Royal Aeronautical Society the evening before the opening of the 2016 Farnborough International Airshow. The venue's terrace at No. 4 Hamilton Place overlooked Hyde Park and provided a wonderful setting to reconnect with friends, visit with the award sponsors, and just be in the company of aviation journalists from around the world. This was a ver y special evening for me. The October 2015 cover stor y of AMT Magazine titled "Getting Ahead of the Cur ve" written by Jerome Chandler, one of our regular contributors, was on the shor t-list of the nominees for Best Business Aviation Submission. Additionally, AviationPros.com, the of ficial website for AMT Magazine, was on the shor t-list of nominees for Best Digital Media. The competition was fierce and while we didn't walk away with top- honors, all of us here at AMT Magazine and AviationPros.com are ver y proud to have made it onto the shor t-list of nominees.
