2014 Aerospace Maintenance Competition Winners
T
he 2014 AMC had 28
teams registered to
compete. The level of
competition was extremely
high as each of the 16 dif-
ferent events were challeng-
ing and requiring different
skill sets. The teams that
represented the five coun-
tries in this year's AMC have
certainly raised the bar by
which future AMC's will be
measured by.
Teams from Canada, Unit-
ed Arab Emirates, Japan,
Australia, and the United
States stood tall for today's
and tomorrow's skilled air-
craf t maintenance engi-
neers, aircraft maintenance
technicians and students.
Snap-on donated more than
Team Redstone won First Place, Schools, for the fourth year in a row.
AIM Dallas was the first team
performing on this new event
sponsored by French engine
manufacturer Price Induction
Inc. Following the instructions
on a tablet computer, teams
had to change the thrust
bearing of PI's small turbofan
jet engine; the DGEN 380.
The 2014 AMC had 28 teams from fve countries
registered to compete in 16 different events.
$75,000 in tools and equip-
ment to top finishers in the
